Positive preparation

Positive preparation is all about planning and taking control of what you do leading up to a golf game or tournament. How you prepare will have an effect on how you perform and your results on the day. Whether you prefer to start your positive preparation a few days or a few hours or a few minutes before, feeling well prepared on the first tee is a key winning skill.

Momentum is a condition derived from emotion that we sometimes glimpse when we are on a high but it can disappear as quickly as it arrived. Learning how to use it in your game can give you an explosive start.

We can work on your preparation to make it effective for you to get off to a good start.

Putt it right

At all levels putting can be as much as 50% of the golf shots in a round. In a winning round putting well is key to success. Learning to swing the putter consistently coupled with a great putting attitude will give you the skills required to putt well under any conditions.

My coaching uses simple drills to improve confidence and is designed to develop your putting attitude. This has been shown to deliver huge improvements in your ability to hole putts.

Course management

Good course management is very important and very under rated. The skill is in making smart decisions, playing to your strengths and hitting the right shot at the right time. It can save many shots in a round and improve your chances of winning. Many golfers will blame poor results on a poor swing or lack of focus when in fact it is poor decisions that are letting them down and badly affecting their performance.

Good planning, careful thought and knowing when to attack and defend can improve this key winning skill.
